Scouring of the shire part VI: another lockdown edition

I painted up a warband of Hobbits. 4 Tookish hunters and 8 shirrifs. I also fully commited myself to a new hobbit army. Another 48 warriors are orderd!

Scouring of the shire part V: still in lockdown

Still in lockdown, so I continued working on my shire project. I added some cool and fun stuff.

I painted Sam and Bill the pony. It were some of the last models to complete my collection and I just recently obtained them. Lovely sculpts!

And once more an exclusive model! The rare Frodo footprints. This model was never sold but given to some of the GW stores. A long sought-after model that I can add to the collection.

And last but not least, I made some traps for the Shire legendary legion.

Scouring of the shire part IV

I once more continued my Shire project. After finishing Laketown I've started looking for a new project. In the mean time I continued working on my in between Hobbit force. I always wanted to have a Hobbit army but never had the courage to commit into painting it. A hundred Hobbits is a lot! So between projects, I try to finish some hobbits.

Last year I made some progress painting some of the Forgeworld heroes. Last week I finished the job.

I have to say it once again, these Frogeworld models are fantastic. A real joy to paint and full of detail.

Black Numenorians

A few months ago I had the chance to buy some cheap metal Black Numenorians. I couldn't resist. You always need more Black Numenorians! I already painted them up, they will fit nice in my Morodr or Corsair forces.

Every year when I visit Crisis (the largest wargaming convention in Flandres) I buy some more dino's. Just a fun side project. This year I painted a Gasosaurus (the small theropod), a Kentrosaurus (the spiked one), a Hatzegopteryx (flying) and an Eustreptospondylus (big theropod).

Another laketown update! Bard the bowman and his children. 

I realy love the windlance model. It has so much character, I added also some extra bits to give the base a more laketown feeling. Still sad we didn't see it kill Smaug in the movie. 

Laketown part IV: lockdown edition

Week II into lockdown. The measurements are expanded for another two weeks up to 19th of april so I still have some time at hand. More progress from laketown. I painted up some lovely forgeword sculpts; Hilda Bianca and Percy and another batch of laketown guard.

And then Corona happend...

First week of the lockdown. I still work from home but because we in Flanderes can't leave home, I have some extra time to paint! I continued with my laketown army and gave them some themed bases. I also put 5 new objective markers together.
