Army of Thror

Last update for 2022: I managed to paint up a complete new army in december. I thoroughly enjoyed painting these models. The start of the Hobbit range was a true piece of art with all those lovely sculpts.

So I managed to paint up: 12 Grimhammers, 24 Erebor dwarf warriors and 5 heroes.

Last models for february

I finished u some cool Grimhammer models I had laying around. I painted the first six about four year ago. I finaly finished the rest of the warband. I'm hoping to gradualy expand this army and build me an army of Thror later this year.

I also finished up Barliman to join my hobbit forces.

Suns of Durin and some woses.

Hi, it has been a while since I last posted. But I made some progress on the suns of Durin.
Last tournament I picked up some grimhammers as a price. I always loved the models, to my opinion some of the best sculpted plastics in the entire range.

So I painted the first batch.

Mordor (III) and a grimhammer captain

I made some progress on the great beast, painted the howdah but still need to do the base.

And I painted the wild warg chieftain. Very beautiful model and a real joy to paint.

Next up where some Black Numenorians. Again I like the models, the resemblance with the mouth of Sauron is great.

And at last some progress on the dwarf forces. A grimhammer captain. Again a very lovely miniature. I'm a big fan of the grimhammers, probably on of the best sculpts on the Hobbit range.

That's it for now, but more dwarfs will follow!
