Isengard part 15: Dunlanding warriors

After the wildmen I continued working on Dunland. I finished up another batch of warriors.

Progress on this army is going steady. I still have the rest of this warband ready to paint. After those I will continue with another six Huscarls and two more riders of Dunland.

Isengard part 14: Wildmen of Dunland!

This month I finally received my latest order from GW after it being stuck in customs for two and a half month. Quickly I started assembling and painting the models as I'm eager to field my new Duland legion. First up: a warband of wildmen.

Isengard part 7

I painted up the new plastic Saruman. Lovely model and a nice adition to the collection.

Isengard: part 6 - the rise of Dunland

Another Isengard update. I started working on the Dunland forces. I bought two packs of Crebain from Forgeworld and started converting one of the packs. Making four models out of just two. So in total I now have six different Crebain painted.

Fun and good looking models. I'am looking forward using them on the table.

Isengard: part 5

I continued working on my Isengard forces and started with the new Forgeworld Grishnakh pose. Not the best model in the range, I also didn't enjoy painting him. But anyway, he is done.

After Grishnakh I decided to do something cool and paint up some trolls and two ballistae.

I really love the old metal Isengard troll model but the plastic model is also a lovely sculpt. The paintjob on the plastic one is even better in my opinion :p.

I had a partly ballista laying around and managed to buy another incomplete one from a friend. Together they formed one complete ballista but with some greenstuf and balsa wood I managed to assemble a second one.

I still have a bunch of models on the painting desk but I will soon start working again on Isengard with some Crebain!

Isengard: part 4

More Isengard! I painted up the remaining scout forces.

I started with two more Lurtz poses. Cool models, now I have all three poses painted up :D.

I painted the captured Merry en Pippin models. Awesome models, really thematic!

And the best for last. The old unreleased Uruk scout captain which we finally got with the made to order. Just lovely and to finish the new Snaga model. Once again, Forgeworld models = perfection!

Isengard: part 3

I continued working on Isengard and painted up another batch of warriors. The army is nearly finished so I decided to keep working on them until every single model is painted. Next up will be some scout models. I also have some more random models on the painting desk so they will probably be first up in the next post.

Isengard Part II

Another Isengard update. I painted a first batch of warriors and a siege crew.

Next up: another batch of warriors, the siege ballistas and some trolls!
