Clearing up the painting desk

Just a small update, I finished some dwarf heroes I had laying around for at least five years.
I remember working on them when I studied at the university. Without a doubt the longest time between start and finish I ever took.
I'm thinking about an army of Thrór lately, so the king himself will come in handy in the near future!

Desktop update

I made a lot of progress in the man cave. I will post pictures up as soon as it is completely finished. Meanwhile I painted  some guard of the fountain court. Two had no spears so I ended up giving them some new spears and sculpted their hands. They will join the Gondorian legion. My wife took care of some trees and finished the bases. The will be put to good use in the coming games.

Scouring of the shire part VII

I painted up the last heroes, the real heroes of the story. Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin on pony. The models itself have a lot of nostalgia for me. Originally part of the old Scouring of the Shire set and supplement they were released at the peak of this game itself. The good old times!

It is really interesting to look back to all the upps and downs this hobby had. It really lets you appriciate the condition the game is in today. New models, upcoming supplements, a new Lotr Amazon series. For sure, good times are ahead.
