Bree folk and some dwarves

I present you some rare, unreleased, extremely special Games workshop lord of the rings miniatures, town folk from Bree.
Just kidding, just some town folk from ebob miniatures, but they do represent some lord of the rings characters.
From left to right: Bill Ferny, Barliman Butterbur and Harry Goatleaf.

I have to say, the quality of the sculpts is inferior, and comes nowhere near that of GW. The heads are a bit to big for the body and Harry's face is a real mess. But still glad to add these miniatures to the collection :-).

There and back again..... Sort of...

Hi guys! It's me! Ben!!
Who??
Ben!
Who?
Me, Ben!!

Ah it's good to be back on the bloggosphere!! As you may (or not, whatever) have noticed, I've been away from the bloggosphere for some time. Life, summer, stuff happened. Summer is still here, kinda, stupid rain, but I thought a new blog post was long overdue. So here I am. So let's get down to business.

Gold... gold beyond measure... (first update smaug)

I started working on the big guy. It took me already 2 days to clean up and assemble him including all the greenstuffing. I kept him in 4 separate pieces (wings, base, body) to be able to paint him decently.

Afterwards, I started on the base. That took me another day and the pillars, the arkenstone and bilbo still need to be done. But I'm really satisfied with how the treasure is looking! It really is a fantastic miniature with amazing detail, and an almost perfect cast.

The Fellowship of the Miniatures Oberonn Adventure (06/08/2015)

We played Battle Companies again and it was great. We tried out the new work in progress rules (https://battlecompanies.wordpress.com/). We don't have a lot of pictures because we were so busy playing ;-).
